Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025. + Execute precise coding and technical operations for NBC and Telemundo broadcasts in San Diego utilizing the Ross Overdrive Automated Production Control environment and/or a range of manual processes, ensuring optimal performance across multi-channel platforms 365 days a year. + Demonstrate proficiency in operating Audio, Video, Editing, and Graphics playback systems, maintaining the highest standards of technical quality at all times. + Provide authoritative direction to talent and other production crew members, ensuring seamless coordination and execution of broadcasts. + Assume full responsibility for the technical integrity and quality of newscasts and other productions, with a commitment to excellence in every aspect of the role. + Maintain adaptability and readiness to undertake additional critical duties as required or assigned, contributing to the overall success of the broadcasting operation. Basic Qualifications: + Bilingual (English/Spanish) + Minimum 2 years of experience working in video production or local news, preferably TD/Directing experience with Ross Overdrive Production Automation or a similar system. + Experience with production switcher operations, manual and automated video and graphics play out, and audio board operations. + Must have strong oral/written communication skills, solid interpersonal skills, be able to work in a team, and be able to work accurately under pressure and deadlines. + Must demonstrate ability to remain calm under pressure and think critically. Desired Skills: + Experience with Dalet Galaxy. + Experience with Ross Overdrive Production Automation systems. + Experience with robotic cameras, video server playback/ingest operations, and audio mixing is a plus. + Strong leadership skills. + Self-motivated.
