Spectra Tech, Inc. is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer in our Corporate Office in Oak Ridge, TN.

Spectra Tech is seeking a structural engineer that will be responsible for developing high quality detailed design packages, providing engineering procurement and field technical support to implement those designs, and providing expertise for troubleshooting and technical assessments of various projects. Design involves the preparation of conceptual engineering deliverables including detailed bills of materials and man-hour estimates, statements of work, design criteria, and other engineering deliverables. Candidate must effectively and cooperatively work as a team member of an integrated project team, or as a technical lead for a multi-discipline task and will routinely provide input to the design and project team. Responsibilities will include performing walkdowns and generating design documents and providing field support during project implementation. This position will require applying technical expertise using a wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field of structural engineering. This job will be in our Corporate Office in Oak Ridge, TN.

Education

Minimum - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited program in the United States or designated equivalents.

Experience

5 years of engineering experience; 10+ years preferred; PE a plus.
Bachelors degree in structural or civil engineering, or equivalent experience and 8+ years experience.
