OHR is seeking a candidate to join our team as an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Investigator for the Department of State Hospitals' statewide EEO program. We are looking for a motivated individual who has strong writing skills and is ready to learn more about the EEO field and conducting investigations.

The Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) functions under direction of the Staff Services Manager I in OHR. The AGPA serves as an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Investigator for the Department of State Hospitals’ statewide EEO program. Under direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the primary responsibilities of the AGPA include conducting EEO investigations; responding to EEO complaints filed with external agencies, such as the California Civil Rights Department (CRD) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC); participating in various OHR workgroups; and providing EEO related training to employees, managers and supervisors.

Working Conditions

  • DSH-Sacramento is located at an 11 floor high rise building.
  • This position reports to the Allenby Building in Sacramento. A hybrid Telework schedule, consistent with the State of California's in-office requirement, may be considered with prior approval from management.
  • The incumbent may also be required to travel throughout California (to the five state hospitals and Hospital Police Officer Academy) as needed, with prior notice.
