Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Administrative Assistant to join our team in Commerce, California. In this Contract-to-ongoing role, you will play a vital part in ensuring smooth purchasing operations by managing key administrative tasks and coordinating with various departments. Responsibilities:
- Manage purchasing processes, including tracking orders and maintaining accurate records.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Utilize CRM and ERP systems to streamline purchasing workflows and data management.
- Oversee accounts payable functions related to purchasing activities.
- Monitor budgets and assist in the preparation of reports on purchasing expenditures.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align purchasing strategies with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures throughout the purchasing cycle.
- Analyze data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement efficiency.
- Support the integration and use of systems like Great Plains, IBM AS/400, and About Time.
- Address purchasing-related inquiries and resolve issues promptly. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or administrative support roles.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and ERP solutions.
- Familiarity with tools such as Great Plains, IBM AS/400, and About Time.
- Knowledge of accounting functions, including accounts payable and budget management.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Analytical skills to evaluate purchasing data and identify improvements.
