Job Description
Description We are looking for a dedicated Reprographics Associate (Copy Operator) to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting the production of high-quality print and copy projects. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with reprographics equipment, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Process a variety of reprographics requests, including black-and-white and color photocopying, while ensuring high-quality output.
- Operate and manage production printers, copiers, and finishing equipment such as binders, laminators, and cutters.
- Monitor job queues and input job-processing settings to meet specific client requirements.
- Inspect documents for quality at all stages of the production process to maintain accuracy and consistency.
- Perform basic troubleshooting on equipment and coordinate service calls when necessary.
- Load and maintain copiers with paper and toner supplies to ensure uninterrupted operation.
- Communicate effectively with clients and managers regarding job specifications, deadlines, and any potential issues.
- Handle physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing for extended periods during the workday.
- Provide occasional weekend support as needed, with prior notice from management. Requirements - At least one year of experience in office services, preferably in a legal, banking, or corporate setting.
- Proficiency in operating large-scale printing, copying, or scanning equipment, such as Canon or Xerox machines.
- Familiarity with reprographics processes, including finishing techniques like binding, laminating, and cutting.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing accurate and high-quality results.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and manage service calls.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet for most of the day.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Experience in litigation document production or a background in retail printing services (e.g., FedEx or similar) is highly desirable.
